Foreign Office, June 15, 1909, A GLASGOW firm who is interested in the matter has made enquiries as to contracts for the Shanghae-Ningpo Railway. The "Times" correspondent at Shanghae stated, in a telegram dated the 26th ultimo, that the Provincial Railway Bureau had limited competition to German manufacturers, when publicly advertising for tenders for locomotives for the above-mentioned railway.
